Broncs: Roany

Ok one more bronc pic. This is Roany, a buddy of Eeyore's. He's also fairly cute in a fugly sort of way. He's so roaned out he's all but white, except for his two brown ears! I love it! Again, I double and tripple checked my metadata (and meta data doesn't lie), this was taken only NINE MINUTES after he bucked in the arena. [link]

These horses aren't scared guys, they aren't hurting, they're doing a job just like any horse is doing a job. Except they work for a few minutes (if you count the time standing in the chutes) and then go back to eating, napping, having nibble bonding time with their buddies, and just being a horse. It's a life that many high level show horses - who truly are beaten, abused, and terrified into performing - could only dream of.
